100% human written, straight-up honest reviews on books I've actually read.

Jack Heath, Headcase

The fourth book in the Timothy Blake series and fourth career change for Blake after the FBI in Hangman, the mob in Hunter, then as a vigilante in Hideout.

Well, that’s not strictly true, Blake is still sleuthing unofficially. But this time his employer is the CIA and the case is as odd as fantasising about alone time with giants (wait, you DIDN’T read Hunter??).

Armed with just his wit and prosthetic limb (get it!?) Blake once again has to solve a complex case concerning a Chinese astronaut found dead on a NASA space base before all sorts of time sensitive hoo-hah goes down.

And once again, sticking to a now established formula, Heath has Blake survive yet another impossible bodily trauma. I’m beginning to think Blake was a cat in a former life. Which means we should be good for another five books before he finally gives up the ghost.

I guess as long as they’re not too long, I could go along for the ride.

Recommend. 👍🏻
