Wow! This book, like the character describes himself on the opening chapter, totally effing out there!
I am biased. I love me an assassin novel. That and the bright yellow jacket cover (yellow is a happy colour!) and the fact that Brownlow is British (they just have a different wit to the Yanks) had me forking out the $30+ for this to read en route to Sài Gòn quicker than an in-flight safety demonstration.
Features balls to the wall action, a self-deprecating protagonist and loads of dark humour. The chapters are snappy, perfect to slip in and out of while you micro-sleep your way through an overnight intercontinental journey. Or binge en masse in a hotel room while you adjust to a new time zone.
Or just if you’re at home around bedtime.
Recommend. 👍🏻
